The Fall of Datong
Datong was early, albeit minor, operational victory by the IJA, as Japan began to solidify its hold on Manchuria through offensive operations. Datong was a key industrial area which sat astride a major crossroads in Shanxi province.
Depicted is the Chinese Nationalist 7th Army group defending Datong against the IJA Northern China Area Army.
